BUSNEL and ANÉE

Route de Lisieux, 27260 CORMEILLES

The distillery in Cormeilles was built in 1910. Today it also contains a visiting facility with cellar door sales, tours and tasting room. It is the home of the brands Busnel and Anée, both high quality calvados Pays d’Auge and pommeau with ranges including award-winning Hors d’Age, aged for 15 years in small oak barrels. As early as 1820 Ernest Busnel launched an apple brandy named ‘calvados’ in Pont-l'Evêque. George Anée founded Anée in 1919. Several generations of expertise and tradition have given Busnel and Anée individual personalities. Generally speaking, for Busnel, the cider is distilled longer, thus emphasis in the taste will be for fruit. Regarding Anée a prolonged maturation makes it possible to curtail distillation, focusing on the mellow taste from oak aging. Range includes Fine (3 years), Vieille Réserve Pays d’Auge (4 years), Hors d’Age (10 years), Vieille Réserve Prestige Pays d’Auge (12 years), 1963, pommeau and cider.
